Doha: Karnataka Sangha Qatar has announced its seventh open cricket tournament “Karnataka Cup 2017”, the most sought after cricketing event in Qatar, from April 17 to April 21 at Old Ideal Indian School Ground-Doha.
The legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya will be gracing the inaugural function of Karnataka Cup flood light cricket tournament which will begin on Monday evening, 7 pm onwards.
Speaking to the media, KSQ President H K Madhu informed that Sanath Jayasuriya will be the Guest of Honour and 8 famous cricket teams were participating in the tournament. The participating teams are Hanan, Lama, Tusker, Gahlina, Tulukoota, Surprise XI and QDC.
The Karnataka cup has always stood high by hosting tournaments in the presence of Sayyed Kirmani, Sadananda Vishwanath, Gundappa Vishwanath, Sunil Joshi, Subramanium Badrinath and Kiran More in previous seasons.
Alma Aluminium and Steel Co. is the main event sponsor. Madhu, on behalf of Karnataka Sangha Qatar has invited all the cricket lovers to grace the occasion with their families and also get a chance to be lucky winners during the tournament.
