Dubai: KaDaM is all set to celebrate their 5th anniversary, which is scheduled to be held on 23rd October, 2015 at the Sheraton Deira, Dubai at 10 am with a promise to render an exciting day filled with loads of entertainment, fun, frolic followed by a sumptuous lunch.
KaDaM is a socio cultural forum established in the year 2010 in Dubai and since its inception has been gaining ground ‘step’ by ‘step’ or ‘KaDaM’ by ‘KaDaM’ in Hindi. Every year KaDaM honors its community members who have excelled in one or the other field and confers on them ‘Devadiga Sadaka Prashasti’. Since 2010 the sequence of people who have been conferred this Prashasti are B.G.Mohandas, Seena Devadiga, Meghana Saligrama, & Raghurama Devadiga. This year two prominent figures are sharing this award. Raju Devadiga, a well known politician and Vijayalakshmi Shibaroor, a Journalist both who are flying from India to receive this honour.
Padmashree Dr. B.R. Shetty has consented to be the Chief Guest for this programme along with the well known South Indian actress Vinaya Prasad. Guests of honour include Raj Shetty of Ramee Group of Hotels, Praveen Shetty of Fortune Group of Hotels, Satish Venkataramana of Chilly Willy Trading & Annayya Sherigar of Ekanatheshwara Temple.
Another star of the evening is Jyothiprakash Atre, popularly known as JP in the industry who will also be a guest of honour during KaDaM’s 5th anniversary Celebrations. JP is also a popular singer known as a reincarnation of Kishore Kumar who has rocked the audience from Mumbai, Bangalore and other towns wherever he performed.
Another guest is a well known journalist Vijayalakshmi Shibaroor who is the Special Investigative Correspondent in Asianet groups Suvarna news 24×7 – Kannada news channel and has won Karnataka Media Academy Award 2010-11, Madhyam Ratna 2011-12, Bangaluru Ratna 2012- 13, Namma Bangalore Award 2014-15, Madyama Sanmaan for Best Investigative Reporter 2012 -13 etc.
VJ Vineeth who played a lead role in Kannada telefilm “Saluge”, acted in “Rang” and “Soombe” Tulu movies plus is featured as a lead in upcoming Tulu movie “Rambarooti” and “Maarnemi” will be also be the Guest of Honour and will take over the stage programme throughout the day in his imitable style.
One more celebrity to join the KaDaM’s anniversary is Gold Medalist Ravi Bhat, a south Indian TV and Film actor who has acted in many Kannada and Telugu films including TV serials. Currently, he is playing the role of Yudishtira in Kannada mega serial Mahabharata running in Udaya TV.
All preparations are going on for a blasting celebration and the programme includes some of the best performances by celebrities, winners of TV dance competitions and members of KaDaM who intend to entertain the audience throughout the programme with dances, music, singing, skit and many more surprises by well known actresses of Tulu Films.
