After the Bharatiya Janata Party appointed BY Vijayendra Yediyurappa as Karnataka state chief, Congress leader Jagadish Shettar the people need to wait and see the consequence of BJP’s decision.
BY Vijayendra congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president JP Nadda for giving him the opportunity to lead the party in the state after being named Karnataka BJP president.
“They finally named the president of the state BJP. Everyone has been wondering when the state president will be appointed by the national party, the BJP, for the past six months. Jagadish Shettar stated, “Wait and see what would be the consequence.”
B. S. Yediyurappa, the former chief minister of Karnataka, is the father of BY Vijayendra.
On being appointed as the BJP President for Karnataka, BY Vijayendra said “I would like to thank our national president JP Nadda, PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah…for having faith in me and giving such a big opportunity to serve as a BJP president for the state of Karnataka. I’m really thankful to all the national leaders.”
In an interview with ANI, Vijayendra promised to do everything in his power to help Prime Minister Narendra Modi by ensuring that the BJP wins Karnataka handily in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
“I’m incredibly excited to take on this role in the state of Karnataka, guided by all of our senior executives. To strengthen PM Modi’s hand, I want to make sure I win the most seats possible,” he continued.The state BJP chief, Vijayendra Yediyurappa, was appointed at the same time as the general elections of 2024.
Vijayendra Yediyurappa replaced Nalin Kumar Kateel as state party Chief. Vijayendra Yediyurappa belongs to the Lingayat community considered to be the mainstay of the BJP in the state.
The appointment of BJP Karnataka president had been pending since the party’s loss in the Assembly election in the state in May this year.
