Mangaluru: The inauguration of Milagres College NCC Army wing was held on 10 Nov 10, 2023 at the college Auditorium. The College NCC wing now consists of 33 SD’s and 17 SW’s Total of 50 cadets.
Principal of Milagres Degree College, Rev. Fr Michael L Santhumayor welcomed the dignitaries on the dais.
Chief guest of the function Lt Col Gracian Sequeira (Administrative Officer 18 Karnataka Battalion NCC, Mangalore) administered the oath and delivered inspiring words about discipline, unity and respecting elders, teachers and friends, and he reminded about the worth of NCC uniform.
Guest of Honour Maxim Monteiro (Management Member and NCC Well-Wisher) highlighted the importance of the NCC in fostering leadership qualities, discipline, and a sense of social responsibility among the youth.
Rev. Fr Bonaventure Nazareth Presided over the event and delivered inspiring and appreciating speeches.
Denzil Edrod Pinto (Care taker of NCC Officer) presented NCC report of 2021-23 .
Cadets took the oath of allegiance, pledging their commitment to the principles of the NCC and their dedication to the service of the nation. The formal swearing-in ceremony marked a pivotal moment in the cadets’ initiation into the NCC.
Sushmitha (NSS secretary) compered the ceremony.
Chaitra D (Asst. care taker) delivered the words of gratitude.
The NCC inauguration ceremony at Milagres College Mangalore was a resounding success, setting the stage for a new chapter in the college’s history. The inauguration ceremony served as an inspiration for the entire college community to uphold the values of the NCC and strive for excellence in all endeavours.
