Tragic Loss: MP Govt Employee on Poll Duty Dies Day Before Voting

Bhopal: An official claimed that a government worker from Madhya Pradesh who was on poll duty for the Assembly elections on November 17 passed away in the Betul district on Thursday due to chest issues.

Bhimrao, 55, a watchman for the Public Health Engineering Department assigned to poll duty at booth 123 at a girls’ school, has been recognized as the afflicted party.

Reporters were informed by Multai Sub Divisional Magistrate Trupti Pateria that Bhimrao passed away during treatment after being taken to a hospital after complaining of chest trouble. She also stated that the deceased’s relatives had been notified of his passing.
Voting in the state will be held of Friday between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the counting of votes will take place on December 3.

Meanwhile, election personnel have started arriving at the 64,523 polling booths across the state. These personnel have been connected with the Global Positioning System (GPS) and their activities are being monitored by the MP Chief Electoral Officer’s office, officials said.
