New Delhi :  Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that in the last 50 days, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) has touched 11 crore people throughout India.

He continued by saying that the Yatra seeks to reach everyone and break down geographical boundaries in order to facilitate last-mile scheme saturation.

Using video conference, the Prime Minister spoke with Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra beneficiaries on Monday. The event was attended by thousands of beneficiaries from throughout the nation as well as local representatives, MPs, MLAs, and Union Ministers.

Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said, “Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra has become not only the journey of the government but also the journey of the country. The Prime Minister said “Modi Ki Guarantee ki Gadi is reaching every nook and corner of the country. The poor people who spent their lives waiting to get the benefits of government schemes are seeing a meaningful change today. The government is reaching the doorsteps of the beneficiaries and proactively providing the benefits.”

“Along with Modi Ki Guarantee ki Gadi, government offices and people’s representatives are reaching to the people,” he added.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed that the main objective of VBSY is to ensure that no worthy recipient is left out of the government schemes’ benefits. He said that since the start of the Yatra, lakhs of applications for PM SVANidhi, Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana, and Ujjwala connections have been received in addition to 12 lakh new applications.

The Prime Minister shed light on the effects of VBSY by stating that over 2 crore people have had health examinations, including 1 crore TB exams and 22 lakh sickle cell exams, to date.

The prime minister claimed that, contrary to earlier administrations’ concerns, doctors are now making their way to the doorsteps of the underprivileged, Dalits, tribal people, and the destitute.

He also highlighted Ayushman Yojna which provides health insurance worth Rs 5 lakhs, free dialysis for the poor and low-cost medicines at Jan Aushadhi Kendras. “Ayushman Aarogya Mandirs built across the country have become huge health centers for villages and the poor,” he added.

Modi had launched ‘Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ on November 15, 2023 with the aim of making India a developed nation by the year 2047 by extending the benefits of government schemes to the last person in the society.

Given that the BJP received more than 22.9 crore votes nationwide in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the significance of this figure of 11 crores can be understood.

Prime Minister Modi has been in regular communication with the beneficiaries of the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra throughout the nation since the program’s launch on November 15, 2023.

Five video conferences have been held between the Prime Minister and the beneficiaries thus far. Aside from this, Modi also spoke with the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra beneficiaries while in Varanasi, his legislative constituency.
