On December 1, new SIM card regulations will go into effect nationally. Customers must provide their Aadhaar and demographic information while purchasing SIM cards for their current numbers. In order to prevent cyberfraud, only verified business connections will be permitted to purchase SIMS in bulk. Deactivated SIM cards cannot be transferred to another person until a ninety-day period has passed.
