Bengaluru: Award-winning movie director P Sheshadri has started shooting for his next movie Mohanadasa, the biopic of Mahatma Gandhiji. Sheshadri himself as written the screenplay.
It is his 12th film. The movie is being produced in Kannada, Hindi and English languages.
The movie is about the childhood days of the Gandhiji. Gandhiji’s life between 7 and 13 years will come alive in the movie.
Sheshadri informed that after over 1,500 children were auditioned and two child artistes elected for the movie. “We are recreating the society of 1885. Major childhood events of Gandhiji including smoking, lying in front of the parents etc., will be covered in this movie,” he explained.
“We are trying to cast Amitabh Bachchan and Ben Kingsley in the movie. We are hopeful,” he said.
