According to latest news in Gandhinagar, popular Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been approached by Jogi Prem for his upcoming film ‘The Villain’. The Sri Lankan beauty, who is riding high on the success of her latest Hindi film ‘Dishoom’ , is said to be one of the main contenders for the heroine’s role.
However, nothing is official regarding it. A trade analyst says that this is a ‘gimmick’ by Prem to create hype for the film. It was initially said that Tamannah was approached for the role. Prem is known for such gimmicks. In his last directorial ‘Joggaiah’, he claimed that he will sign Rani Mukherjee or Vidya Balan as lead in the film. However in the end, he signed a newbie, who is not to be seen after the poor performance of the film.
So, is Jacqueline also a part of Prem’s gimmick? We will come to know soon. The film had a simple muhurath on Friday. The film which stars two bigwigs of Sandalwood, Sudeep and Shivarajkumar is slated to release next year. The film is produced by C R Manohar.
