Bengaluru: After successful ‘Act 1978’, award winning director Manjunatha Somashekara Reddy, popularly known as Mamsore will direct a movie on Rani Abbakka Chowta of Ullal.
The valient queen had defeated Portuguese in the latter half of the 16th century and now a film depicting her life will soon be made. It will be a pan India film, which will be made in Tulu, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. It will be made in English too.
According to the details shared by the director, he is studying about Abbakka for the last three years and has now decided to take up the pre production works.
According to the sources, the technical team of the Act 1978 will work on this movie too.
Mansore is planning 200 days shooting for this movie. A research team will soon start work on the screenplay. He is also planning to use the Portuguese actors for this movie.
