Rocking Star Yash and Radhika Pandit hogged media headlines last week. Both did not expect media to give that much publicity to their personal matter, engagement that was held at a hotel in Goa. Many of his well-wishers and friends and hard-core fans could not make it since both kept it as a secret. Prominent personalities from Sandalwood attended the betrothal.
Back in Bengaluru, Yash and Radhika have tried their best to clear the doubts of their friends, well-wishers and fans. “The betrothal was fixed in a hurry. So we could not invite our friends to the function. We did not expect media to give this much importance to our engagement. Some of my friends and well-wishers would have disappointed as we were not able to inform them about the function. I promise to invite all people to our marriage,’’ said Yash.
Date not fixed
Though it is decided to marry by the end of December, the actual date for the marriage is yet to be fixed. “We are set to marry either in December of January but the date is not fixed yet. Our marriage will be held in Bengaluru. We will invite all our fans, well-wishers, friends to our marriage. All those who are disappointed for not making it to our betrothal programme will be present at our marriage,’’ Yash said.
Yash proposed first
According to Radhika Pandit, it was Yash who proposed to her. “Yash proposed to me over the phone,’’ Radhika said. “We are friends for the last 10 years. I proposed to her five years ago. I happened to take her to my home on Varamahalakshmi festival day. It was for the first time I have taken a girl to my home. After seeing Radhika, my mother told me that Radhika will be her daughter-in-law. Our love journey began on that day and now it reached the stage of engagement,’’ Yash explained.
To continue acting in film
Radhika Pandit and Yash said they would continue acting in films even after their marriage. “There will be not much difference between the characters we played all these years and those characters to be played after our marriage. There is no such thing that Radhika has to stop acting in films after marriage. We want to continue acting in films,’’ Yash said.
