In a poignant farewell, 25-year-old Daniella Thackray from the UK, who fought cholangiocarcinoma, a rare bile duct cancer, left a heartfelt message for her loved ones. Her family shared the message on social media after her passing, detailing Daniella’s perspective on life and battling cancer.

Daniella emphasized that not all cancers result from lifestyle choices, noting that in her case, genetics or sheer chance led to her diagnosis. Despite being a health-conscious and active individual, she faced a relentless battle with the disease.

The courageous young woman chose to savor every moment rather than succumbing to despair. In her LinkedIn post, she encouraged others to control their reactions to life’s challenges, urging them to find joy in the little things and cherish every moment.

Expressing her love for her family, job, fiancé, friends, and dog, Daniella thanked everyone for making her life “magical.” She shared a poignant quote from A.A. Milne’s ‘Winnie the Pooh,’ emphasizing the enduring strength and courage within each person.

In a special note to her fiancé, Tom, Daniella expressed profound love and gratitude, encouraging him to embrace life’s joys. The post concluded with a monochrome picture of Daniella with her dog on a beach.

Since her initial revelation about battling cancer in July, Daniella’s post has garnered numerous reactions from social media users. Many lauded her for her courage, expressing gratitude for the inspiration she provided. One user remarked, “May your legacy be one of courage, love, and the belief in the beauty of life’s smallest joys. Rest in peace, knowing you made a difference in the lives of those fortunate enough to have known you.” Another added, “Thank you, Daniella, your memory will live on, and your words will continue to bring strength and comfort to others.”
