I believe what you’re trying to convey is that you wind up doing things that you later regret, or that cause you to mentally feel unsatisfied, uncertain, and anxious. You assume that the imbalance between the mind and the soul is the reason for this. Okay, I guess I can understand this. We are all aboard the same ship as you.
Why else would you use the word “balance”? In my opinion, we have made the intellect the master, or if not the master, at least an equal of the soul. Yet, perhaps that is the source of the issue.
The soul is all-knowing and a real thing. The mind is illuminated by the soul. It is merely a reflection and has no inherent power. But we give the impression that the mind is separate.
By eliminating 90 per cent of the mind’s worthless thinking, which is a manifestation of the mind, we can reduce mind’s power over soul. We sense a freedom that allows the spirit to shine once the over thinking is gone and we realise that we are neither stupid nor lazy louts; rather, we are just extremely used to thinking. We must permit that to occur.
The soul is invisible to the too-analytical mind. We need to teach the mind where it belongs as the servant of the soul. Not achieving balance would imply that mind and soul are on an equal footing. That would not be fair because they are not. The balance we need will naturally arise as a result of the master controlling the servant as he should, so we should just let him take charge.
We become mentally unbalanced when we give the mind control. We become mentally balanced when we surrender the mind to the soul.
