Vk Mathews Kerala Is The Best Place To Work And Live

VK Mathews, Executive Chairman of IBS Software, lauded Kerala as the best place to work and live, highlighting the state’s remarkable progress in governance, health, smart device usage, and internet accessibility. Speaking at the Confluence 2024, India’s largest industry-academia meet held at the Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology in Kochi, Mathews emphasized Kerala’s high-quality human resource pool, even within industrial sectors. However, he acknowledged that there is still work to be done to improve working conditions.

The event was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Tourism, Suresh Gopi, who expressed hopes that Confluence 2024 would foster greater knowledge sharing and understanding across industrial sectors to build a sustainable future. During the event, Gopi also felicitated ISRO Chairman S. Somanath, who received the Kerala Prabha Award, and Mathews, who was honored with the Kerala Sree Award.

Fr. Benny Nalkkara, Manager of Rajagiri Engineering College, delivered the presidential address, while Fr. (Dr.) Jose Kuriedathb, Director of RESET, spoke about the role of the conference in shedding new light on science and technology.
