It’s a good day as you drive to spend a day with your family at the mall, till you reach the parking lot and learn that you have to fish a note of Rs 1000 as the pay.
Now, you don’t want to turn back and disappoint your family. And yet, Rs. 1000 is too much a price for you to pay.
What do you do? Sadly this is the dilemma that a lot of those in Bangalore are perhaps soon going to have to face.
Parking fees are on the rise these days. And what started as a mere Rs. 40 for a period of about two hours seem to be going up to a price that now makes mall goers decide whether or not to spend the day at the mall.
Of course, some would say that a mere Rs 100 may not be much for someone who has the money to own a vehicle. But the issue lies in the fact that the price seems to be rising by the day, till there may come a day when a price of Rs 1000 for a parking space is not just a joke but a reality that we would have to see someday.
What’s also not just a joke is that your car is going to be untouched even after the high price that you agree to pay. So, don’t expect them to clean them and polish it for you when you head back home at the end of the day.
So, if you came with a dirty, off you go to wherever you plan to head to for the rest of the evening taking the dirty car away. And no, don’t go complaining that you gave them a Rs 1000, for that was your mere price for parking your car that day.
That leaves us with two solutions here. Give the cab guys some business. Take your family on an Ola or an Uber on that day. You have one thing less to worry about, your vehicle and whether it is safe.
Perhaps the other option would be for those looking for ideas to start a business. Start a car wash and polish service situated close to these malls. You sure would be helping these guys who are worried about the rise in parking fees these days, and you get some money in your pocket too at the end of the day.
But for now, don’t worry. The prices have not yet reached so high. Enjoy a day at the mall with your family if Rs 100 is something that you can pay.
