On Friday night, March 1, at the Jhalak Dikhla Jaa celebration, Indian wrestler Sangeeta Phogat and Team India leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal were having a good time.

Dhanashree Verma, the spouse of Yuzvendra Chahal, is one of the top five finalists in the well-known dance competition. Sangeeta Phogat, however, has already been removed from the contest. Chahal has shown his wife a lot of support during her participation in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, asking his followers to vote for her with posts and videos on social media.

In a widely shared video, Sangeeta Phogat is seen hoisting Yuzvendra Chahal onto her back and spinning him around. The Indian bowler then asks the wrestler to land him because it looks like his head is spinning.

The current season of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa is heavily favored to be won by Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife, Dhanashree Verma. Tonight (Saturday), Sony TV will broadcast the show’s finale live.

But in the Jhalal Dikhla Jaa Grand Finale, Dhanashree will have fierce competition from well-known TV actor Shoaib Ibrahim and former Indian Idol winner Sreerama Chandra. Despite being a wildcard competitor, Chahal’s wife made it to the top 5 of the popular dance competition.

Yuzvendra Chahal, an Indian leg spinner, is not included in the most recent BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) Central Contract for players. The 32-year-old, who had an INR 1 crore yearly retainer, was on the prior central contract list.

Chahal was last seen in action during the T20I series against West Indies in July. He was with India squad for the South Africa tour but didn’t get a match during entire tour. The 32-year-old was not picked for the Asia Cup and ODI World Cup squads.

Chahal will be returning to action in the upcoming IPL 2024, representing Rajasthan Royals. Jaipur-based franchise acquired the services of Yuzvendra Chahal in the IPL 2022 auction.

The veteran Indian spinner is the leading wicket-taker in IPL, with 187 wickets, including a fifer and 6 four-wicket hauls, at an average of 21.68 and with an economy rate of 7.66 in 145 matches.
