Yash Dayal, a fast bowler for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, has been named in a second police complaint — this time in Jaipur — involving serious allegations linked to a minor, dating back to 2023.
This development follows another complaint filed earlier in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, by a different woman who claimed that Dayal misused her trust. Authorities have now confirmed that two separate cases are active against the cricketer.
The latest FIR was registered at Sanganer Sadar police station, with Station House Officer Anil Kumar Jaiman verifying Dayal’s identity as the accused. The case includes charges under Section 64 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which includes a provision for a minimum 10-year sentence, and sections under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
According to The Times of India, the complainant, who was 17 at the time, alleged that Dayal had contacted her in 2023, offering guidance for her cricketing ambitions. The complaint further claims that contact was renewed during the IPL season in April 2024, when they allegedly met again at a hotel in Jaipur.
The police have initiated a detailed investigation. Dayal, who was a part of RCB’s 2024 title-winning squad, now faces mounting legal challenges amid his professional career.
