Following the viral video on social media of a train passenger shattering a coach’s glass to get inside, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) took action. The video was shared on X by well-known user Ghar Ke Kalesh, and it has received over two million views. The caption that goes with the image identifies the train as the Kaifiyat Express and states that the glass broke because a passenger was unable to enter the coach due to its packed interior.

In the video, passengers can be seen standing in the coach’s vestibule as the third AC of the train is crowded. It is presumably impossible to open the door because there is nowhere to move.

People are seen running on the platform, trying to get into their coach. Suddenly, one person notices a crack on the glass and asks a man sitting close to the door to move.

Both cover their faces just in time as the glass shatters and a man standing on the platform is heard shouting and asking them to open the door.

They respond that the train is crowded and there is no space, but the man refuses to listen the breaks the remaining part of the glass. The men in the vestibule area then hurriedly move.

The video ends abruptly and it is not known if the man was able to board the train. The post says that the man had confirmed ticket and he wanted to desperately enter the train.

It attracted a lot of comments, with users slamming the overcrowding of trains and claiming that the “state of affairs of Railways has gone down”.

In response to the video, Northern Railway also requested that the RPF investigate the situation. In response, the RPF Delhi Division stated that they had notified the Ghaziabad inspector.

In recent days, numerous videos showing people crammed onto trains have surfaced. An X user uploaded a video earlier this week showing a group of people traveling in the sleeper coach of the Suhaildev Superfast Express without tickets.

The train coach is seen in the video to be full of people, some of whom are seated on the floor. There was not much room for movement in the train’s corridor either.
