Udupi: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 38-year-old man after he came under a container truck at Ambalpady on Monday evening. The deceased has been identified as Pradeep, a resident of Dendorkatte.

According to police, the accident occurred late in the evening when Pradeep was riding his two-wheeler near the Ambalpady junction. The collision was so severe that his head was completely crushed under the wheels of the container truck, leading to instant death.

Victim was employed in local automobile shop

Pradeep was employed at an automobile shop in Ambalpady. His sudden demise has left family members and colleagues in deep shock. Social worker Nityananda Volakadu assisted in shifting the body to the government hospital for post-mortem procedures.

The Udupi traffic police promptly arrived at the scene and carried out formalities. A case has been registered against:
