Udupi: An 82-year-old woman, Vinodini, living alone near Ambalapady, narrowly escaped a burglary attempt on the evening of September 14th.
The intruder entered her house under the guise of selling bed sheets and demanded valuables. However, the house’s caretaker, Tulaja, noticed suspicious behaviour and alerted Prashant, a plumber working nearby.
Upon Prashant’s arrival, the intruder fled the scene and escaped in a car. A case has been registered at the Udupi City Police Station, and authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
Thanks to the quick actions of the caretaker and Prashant, a potential crime was averted. Police are currently working to identify and apprehend the suspect.
