Udupi: Several people sustained injuries in a head-on collision between two express buses near MGM College on the Udupi–Manipal highway on Monday.
As per eyewitness reports, a bus en route from Manipal to Udupi is believed to have suffered brake failure, leading to a direct crash with another oncoming private express bus.
The impact severely damaged both vehicles, leaving passengers shaken and injured. The collision also caused a significant traffic jam on both sides of the highway.
Udupi traffic police quickly arrived at the scene, assisting in clearing the wreckage and easing the traffic congestion.
