Udupi: Heavy rains coupled with strong winds wreaked havoc across Udupi district on Friday, leading to significant damage in multiple areas.
A massive tree crashed onto the village administration office in Kukkikatte, while in Indiranagar, a coconut tree toppled, damaging an auto-rickshaw, a house, and multiple electric poles.
Officials reported that more than 30 houses across the district were affected.

In Brahmavar taluk, the house of Sitarama Devadiga (Giliyar) was completely destroyed, with estimated losses exceeding ₹2.5 lakh.
In Ullur village, Prakash Shetty reported damages amounting to ₹2 lakh.
