Udupi: In a shocking incident, a mother and her young child were found hanging at their residence near Kunjalu Heranje Cross under the jurisdiction of the Brahmavar Police Station in Udupi district.
The deceased have been identified as Sushmita (35) and her daughter Shrestha.
Circumstances surrounding the incident
Preliminary investigation suggests that the two may have died by suicide. At the time of the incident, Sushmita’s husband was reportedly in Bengaluru on court-related work.
The discovery was made when neighbours noticed unusual silence and raised an alarm. Local authorities were immediately informed.
