A tragic road accident claimed the life of 65-year-old Pamba Chhiri Sherpa from Nepal near Navunda in Baindoor taluk, Udupi district. The accident occurred when the car carrying Sherpa, his family, and friends collided with a stationary truck due to alleged high speed and driver negligence.
The group, traveling to Goa after a medical check-up in Hyderabad and a visit to Kushalnagar, suffered injuries. The deceased’s companions, including his wife and relatives, are receiving treatment at Kundapur Hospital.
A case has been registered at Baindoor police station under relevant sections of the law.
