A fresh case of burglary has been reported at the Revenue Department’s government quarters near Udupi Town Police Station, occurring between late July 19 and the early hours of July 20.

According to CCTV footage, a group of 3 to 4 individuals broke into at least three homes and made off with valuables worth thousands of rupees. This marks the second such incident in the same location within a year.

Last year’s break-in, which involved the theft of gold ornaments worth lakhs, prompted residents to install CCTV cameras due to the lack of surveillance at the time. Despite this measure, the perpetrators of the earlier burglary remain unidentified.

The repeated incidents have left residents deeply concerned about their safety. A formal complaint has been lodged, and Udupi Town Police have begun their investigation
