Udupi: Two persons riding a motorcycle sustained serious injuries after their bike collided head-on with a car near the Babbu Swamy Daivasthana on Subhash Road along the service road of NH 66 at Uchila on Sunday night.
The injured have been identified as Ramesh Kumar and Shaktivel.
Motorcycle collides with Swift car
According to reports, the accident occurred when a Swift car travelling towards Udyavar on the Uchila service road collided head-on with the motorcycle coming towards Uchila.
The impact was severe, causing extensive damage to both the car and the motorcycle. The two motorcycle riders sustained serious injuries in the collision.
Injured shifted to Udupi hospital
The injured were provided assistance and shifted to a private hospital in Udupi for treatment in a private ambulance.
Social worker Jallu, alias Jalaluddin, and ambulance driver Hameed reportedly assisted in transporting the injured persons to the hospital.
Meanwhile, a child and the driver who were travelling in the car reportedly escaped unhurt.
The circumstances leading to the collision are being looked into.
