Prajwal Shenoy from Shirva, Udupi, created a remarkable story by riding his 25-year-old Hero Honda Splendor bike all the way to Ayodhya’s Shri Ram Mandir with his father. Over the years, he has travelled more than 50,000 km across India on the same bike, including trips from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
On this journey alone, the father-son duo covered over 4,000 km in nine days, visiting Prayagraj for the Mahakumbh Mela before reaching Ayodhya. This extraordinary ride caught the attention of Hero MotoCorp, which honoured Prajwal by gifting him a brand-new Hero Centennial Edition bike.
The award was presented at an event held at the Shakti showroom in Udupi. Prajwal grew emotional as he cut a cake and shared sweets with his parents during the celebration.
Prajwal has previously hoisted the Kannada flag at Khardung La in Jammu & Kashmir, one of the world’s highest motorable passes, demonstrating his love for adventure and Kannada culture.
The Centennial Edition bike, produced in memory of Hero MotoCorp founder Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal’s 101st birth anniversary, is among just 100 limited-edition models in India, valued up to ₹30 lakh in demand.
Hero recognised Prajwal’s long-distance pilgrimages to Kashmir, Tirupati, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Goa, Puri, Shirdi, Nashik, and Pandharpur, awarding him as their Best Customer.
