Udupi — In a remarkable tribute to endurance and passion, Hero MotoCorp is set to honour Rajendra Shenoy and his son Prajwal Shenoy from Shirva for their extraordinary pan-India journey on a 25-year-old Hero Honda Standard motorcycle.
The duo caught national attention when they navigated some of the country’s toughest terrains and proudly unfurled the Kannada flag at Khardungla, Jammu & Kashmir — the world’s second-highest motorable road at an elevation of 17,982 feet.
Prajwal, an avid rider, has traversed 17 Indian states, covering nearly 45,000 to 50,000 kilometres over five years — sometimes solo, sometimes with his father. His biking journey began at age 19 with a trip to Bengaluru. Since then, he’s visited sacred sites such as Tirupati, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Goa’s Mardol Temple, Jagannath Puri, Shirdi, Pandharpur, and Ayodhya.
In June 2024, the father-son team rode 2,100 km in 10 days to reach Khardungla. Again, in February 2025, they travelled 4,000 km in 9 days to attend the Mahakumbh Mela at Prayagraj, showcasing their devotion and grit.
In recognition of this inspiring journey, Hero MotoCorp will gift Prajwal Shenoy a limited-edition Hero Centennial bike worth ₹10 lakh. Only 100 of these bikes were made to commemorate the 101st birth anniversary of Hero founder Dr. Brij Mohanlal Munjal.
The ceremonial handover will take place at Shakti Hero Motor Company, Udupi, on June 28, with senior Hero officials present.
