Udupi: The Udupi Kerala Cultural and Social Centre (KCSC) is set to celebrate its 31st anniversary along with Onam Sambhrama 2025 on August 31 at Shamili Sabha Bhavan, Ambalapady. The event will feature an array of cultural programmes, competitions, and a special honouring ceremony for achievers across various fields.
Day-long celebration of culture
Addressing the media, KCSC President Suguna Kumar announced that the celebrations will begin at 8:00 am with a flower rangoli competition, followed by cultural competitions between 9:00 am and 11:00 am.
At 12:30 pm, the KCSC Cultural Blast will showcase performances by local talents until 2:30 pm, after which the event will highlight Keraliya Vaibhavam, a cultural programme presented by the Jana Nayana troupe from Thrissur, running from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
The day will conclude with a closing ceremony and prize distribution at 4:30 pm.
Distinguished guests and honours
The main assembly programme, scheduled for 11:00 am, will have renowned Malayalam film actor and Kollam MLA Mukesh as the chief guest. Other dignitaries include Udupi MLA Yash Pal Suvarna, former MLA Vinay Kumar Sorake, District Collector Swaroopa T. K., Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar, and Dr Cherian Varghese, Director of Mahe Prasanna Public Health School.
