Udupi: In a powerful initiative aimed at fostering unity and mutual understanding, the Karnataka State Sunni Youth Association (SYS) has announced a three-day “Friendly March on the Coastal Land” from July 14 to 16, carrying the slogan “Let’s unite hearts and minds.”

Addressing a press conference, Hamzat Hejamadi, SYS district coordinator, emphasized that the rising social divide in coastal Karnataka—once celebrated for its intelligence and harmony—is deeply concerning. “True wellness in society can be achieved only when people understand and respect each other, and live together in harmony,” he said.
