Udupi: Man Succumbs to Cobra Bite After Days in ICU

Udupi: A 32-year-old man lost his battle for life after suffering a cobra bite while working on his farmland. The deceased, identified as Santosh from Parapadi, Nallur village in Karkala, was bitten on his left leg on February 19 at around 6:30 pm.

His mother, Vimala, and relative, Satish, immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital. Due to the severity of his condition, doctors referred him to a private hospital in Manipal for specialized treatment. On February 25, he was shifted to Ajjarkad district hospital in Udupi, where he was kept under intensive care.

Despite prolonged medical efforts, Santosh failed to recover and passed away on Sunday. A case has been registered at the Karkala Rural police station.
