Xinjiang Province, China: An earthquake measuring 5.67 in magnitude occurred at the Kyrgyzstan-Xinjiang border region, following a previous day’s quake with a magnitude of 7.1 in the same area, as reported by the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ).
The seismic activity on Tuesday, marked by the 7.1 magnitude earthquake, resulted in the collapse of homes according to Chinese state media. Tragically, at least three individuals lost their lives, while five others sustained injuries.
The aftershock on Wednesday was notably shallow, registering at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.21 miles), as indicated by GFZ.
