More than 800 healthcare experts from the public and private sectors attended the Grand Hyatt for the 2023 Annual Health Awards, which were organized by Health Magazine and honored 63 exceptional healthcare practitioners in the United Arab Emirates.
Following the announcement that one of the hospital’s nurses had won the Best Chief Nursing Officer award, Kate Hoffman, Group Chief Nurse at NMC, remarked that nurses are the foundation of any healthcare system.
“Nurses at any hospital ensure that every patient deserves outstanding care. They have been recognised for their commitment and dedication,” said Hoffman.
Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, the awards aim to advance comprehensive healthcare practices by highlighting and honouring individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions to holistic well-being.
As the chief guest, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, honored 11 special awardees for their groundbreaking roles in forming the region’s healthcare industry and presented the prestigious Annual Health Awards 2023 to 52 exceptional contributors from the public and private sectors.
The winners were congratulated by Al Nahyan. The honor is given in recognition of exceptional accomplishments as well as ongoing devotion and dedication. Al Nahyan stated, “They honor the perseverance, hard effort, and attention that innovation demands.
“These honors provide us with an opportunity to recognize the honorees’ exceptional work and express our gratitude for their contributions to society. We are grateful and proud, and we are expressing both with this celebration. Al Nahyan continued, “It is also a celebration of the values we share and hold dear.”
The Holistic Healing Medical Center in Dubai received an award for its exceptional homeopathic approach in the category of health technology for traditional medicine.
The clinic was started 25 years ago to provide service in holistic healing. “Since our humble beginnings in 1998 with a small clinic for holistic health has driven us to make a positive impact,” said Diana Zeitouni, general manager at Holistic Healing Medical Center.
Today, we commemorate more than 150,000 instances of successful natural healing, made possible by our valued patients’ faith and confidence. It’s a noteworthy accomplishment to be recognized with so many hospitals and clinics practicing allopathic medicine,” Zeitouni said.
