A 57-year-old German tourist has died after a cobra reportedly slithered into his trousers and bit him during a hotel entertainment show in Hurghada.

The man was holidaying with family members at a Red Sea resort when the shocking incident took place during a snake-charming performance organised for guests.

Cobra entered trousers during audience interaction

According to reports, the snake handler moved through the audience with two cobras, allowing tourists to touch the snakes and place them around their necks.

During the interaction, one cobra allegedly moved down the tourist’s body, entered his trousers, and bit him on the leg.

Tourist rushed to hospital

The man reportedly showed immediate signs of poisoning and collapsed shortly after the bite. Emergency resuscitation efforts were carried out before he was taken to hospital.

Despite treatment, he later died.

Probe under way

German investigators are examining the death along with Egyptian authorities. Toxicology results are awaited to confirm further details.
