Reports on social media have claimed that two prominent Pakistani YouTubers, Sana Amjad and Shoaib Chaudhary, were hanged by the Pakistani Army for uploading content that praised India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These claims have sent shockwaves through the online community, especially in Pakistan, as the sudden disappearance of these content creators has fueled suspicions.
The rumors suggest that at least 12 YouTubers, including Amjad and Chaudhary, were executed for publicly comparing Pakistan’s performance unfavorably with India. Both YouTubers were known for their street interviews and public reaction videos, which often touched on topics related to India and Pakistan. Their channels gained popularity not only in Pakistan but also among Indian audiences, as they discussed current affairs and public reactions, including topics like Modi’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
The absence of Amjad and Chaudhary from their platforms for over 19 days has led to widespread speculation that they were arrested and subsequently executed by the Pakistani authorities. Some social media users suggest that the government’s actions may serve as a warning to other content creators who are critical of Pakistan’s political instability and social issues.
One of Amjad’s controversial videos, titled “Modi Sada Sher Hai” (Modi is a lion), praised Indian Prime Minister Modi and covered his visit to Jammu and Kashmir following the abolition of Article 370. This video was reportedly removed from YouTube, further fueling the suspicions around their disappearance.
While these claims remain unconfirmed, the speculation highlights the growing tensions over free expression and the treatment of content creators in Pakistan.
