A US woman went into her daughter’s classroom and gave her several punches to the face. The incident occurred at Lincoln Middle School on Friday in front of twenty-five children, and the New York Post reports that the teacher suffered multiple broken bones. According to the school superintendent, Lynzia Sutton, 31, was able to get past the security because she was small, had her hood up, and gave the impression that she was a student, according to Syracuse.com.

“These are injuries you don’t often see in a boxing match,” Onondaga District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick stated following the incident in a press conference.

According to the police, Ms. Sutton began looking for a specific teacher as soon as she arrived at the school. District Attorney William Fitzpatrick stated that the teacher’s nasal bone and maxillary spine bones were broken by the woman’s repeated punches after she discovered her. He said that the instructor also sustained a concussion.

The teacher had been told by Ms. Sutton’s daughter, who had been reprimanded for supposedly lying about her whereabouts during the school day, that “my mom will handle this” the day before the incident.

Out of concern, the teacher had complained to the school.

“She’s going to have some long-term issues. I know her nasal passages were severely affected by this,” said Mr Fitzpatrick.

Ms Sutton managed to leave the school after the beating but was later arrested and charged with burglary and assault. Her mother said they were angry with the school because Ms Sutton’s daughter was repeatedly bullied and claimed the issued went unaddressed.

“I apologise for that, and I hope she recovers. There’s always a better way to handle stuff and we were going to talk at the school to have a conversation, with the school, like we have numerous times,” Ms Sutton’s mother Roxanne Thompkins said.

The teacher has been released from the hospital and is recovering.
