Bengaluru: This year there will not be more summer holidays for the schools. The Department of Public Instruction decided to make it just a symbolic one.
A decision in this regard was announced by primary and secondary education minister S Suresh Kumar.
“In 2020 summer, the summer holidays were advanced following the Covid 19 outbreak. The academic activities were affected by the school closure for a prolonged period. So, we decided to curtail the summer holidays,” he said.
He also informed school closure is causing a lot of problems and there is an urgent need to restart the offline classes.
