New Delhi : Alaya Furniturewala’s recent Instagram post has ignited a wave of positivity and joy among her followers. In a Valentine’s Day special video shared by the actress, she is seen dancing with sheer passion to the timeless song “Pehla Nasha” from the 1992 hit movie “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar”. What makes the video even more heartwarming is the presence of her mother, renowned actress Pooja Bedi, who also starred in the original song alongside Aamir Khan and Ayesha Jhulka. The mother-daughter duo’s dance exudes pure happiness, proving that Valentine’s Day celebrations aren’t limited to romantic partners.

 In the video, Pooja Bedi joins Alaya in the dance, even lifting her daughter in her arms at one point, adding an extra layer of joy to their performance. Alaya looks radiant in her all-red ensemble, while her mother shines in a color-blocked outfit. The caption accompanying the post reads, “Impromptu Valentine’s Day dance reel with a very special surprise! #PehlaNasha with my dearest mother Pooja Bedi,” along with smiling faces and heart emojis.

The heartwarming video garnered an outpouring of love from fans, who flooded the comment section with red heart emojis. Actress Pashmina Roshan expressed her admiration, writing, “Omg too cute,” while designer Saba Pataudi showered the post with heart emojis.

Alaya Furniturewala is the daughter of actress Pooja Bedi and businessman Farhan Furniturewala. The couple tied the knot in 1994 but parted ways in 2003. Following their divorce, Farhan Furniturewala married costume designer Laila Khan in 2010, while Pooja Bedi got engaged to businessman Maneck Contractor in 2020.

Reflecting on her engagement, Pooja Bedi shared with Times of India, “More than I wanting to be married, it has been my kids (Alaya and Omar Furniturewala) who tell me that I should settle down.” She emphasized the importance of learning and growing from life experiences, citing her father Kabir Bedi’s multiple marriages as examples of evolving and thriving through relationships.
