Before the 2025 Maha Kumbh, a 108-foot-tall idol of Lord Hanuman—known as “Nagar Kotwal” in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh—will be built in the Triveni Pushp neighborhood along the Yamuna River.
The construction of this statue as well as numerous other buildings and amenities will be handled by Haridwar’s Parmarth Niketan, which has been leased Triveni Pushp for a period of thirty years.
Triveni Pushp was never used to its full potential despite having replicas of many of the nation’s temples because of neglect.
But this location will be developed as a spiritual area prior to Maha Kumbh. Including the previous Triveni Pushp constructions, there will be a total of 21 constructions.
These consist of the idol, the spiritual cottage, the mud house, the food court, the water fountain, the school, and the havan kund, among others.
Mahant Balbir Giri of Baghambari Math has expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his initiative to develop religious places and stated that the Uttar Pradesh government intends to write a new chapter in the state’s development history.
Giri, the head priest of this temple, added, “All saints and devotees will be grateful to the chief minister since the Bade Hanuman temple situated on the Sangam banks is also included in the projects of redevelopment.”
He said that the government had gifted this corridor in Prayagraj, just like it had done with the corridors in Varanasi, Ayodhya Temple, and Ujjain Mahakal Temple.
Prayagraj’s Bade Hanuman temple complex will also receive a makeover. 11,589 square feet of land close to the temple have been chosen for this.
