New Delhi: Zeenat Aman‘s recent Instagram post demands special attention. The seasoned actress shared a nostalgic photo featuring herself with her sons, Zahaan and Azaan Khan. The image captures a young Zeenat seated with her cherished sons nestled in her lap. Alongside the picture, Zeenat penned a heartfelt caption reflecting on the challenges her sons encountered growing up in the shadow of her fame. She expressed, “I’m realistic yet hopeful for a better world. Growing up as my sons couldn’t have been easy. Despite my withdrawal from the spotlight during their school years, they weren’t shielded from occasional crude remarks, intrusive questions, or sensationalized news about me.”

Recalling a childhood incident involving her kids, Zeenat reminisced, “One late afternoon in 90s Bandra, my sons were playing with the neighborhood kids outside our building. Unexpectedly, one of them stormed in, visibly upset. Donning his cricket gear, he solemnly declared his intention to defend my honor after a friend used inappropriate language to describe me.”
She recounted, “Though touched by his indignation, I intervened to prevent any confrontation. That evening marked the beginning of many profound discussions about gender dynamics and societal norms.”
Zeenat frequently shares anecdotes from her sons’ upbringing on Instagram. Earlier, she recounted an amusing incident from a family trip to Mauritius in 1995. She wrote, “During a state event, I extended our stay for a family vacation. The boys enjoyed the luxurious resort and spent hours in the pool. However, Azaan developed an ear infection by the fifth day.”
Describing the incident further, she said, “The resort had a clinic where we took Azaan for treatment, accompanied by his younger brother, Zahaan. Upon returning to the waiting room after a brief consultation, we were surprised to find Zahaan decorating the walls with clinic stamps he found on the reception desk!”
Zeenat humorously concluded, “Despite the mischief, the doctor attended to Azaan promptly. Zahaan’s impromptu redecoration added an unexpected twist to our vacation tale.”
