Mangaluru: The inaugural ceremony of zonal level primary and secondary school sports meet held at Modankapu Infant Jesus Stadium under the joint auspices of Best English Medium School B. C. Road, Bantwal was inaugurated by Bantwal Education Service Trust President and Former Minister B. Ramanath Rai and later Best English Medium School, B.C. Road, Convenor Dhanabhagya R. Rai hoisted flag of the Bantwal Zonal Level Sports tournament.
The games were flagged off by Infant Jesus Church Chief Priest of Fr. Valerian D’Souza by lighting the sports torch at the event.
On this occasion, Best English Medium School Administration Officer Mahabala Alva, the members of the Trust Rashmi S. Pooja, and Suma M. Alva were present. Best English Medium School Headmistress Sunitha B.T. welcomed the gathering.
Bantwal Education Officer Jnanesh. P. E. C. O Sujatha, E.C.O Sudha, T. P. O Vishnu Narayan Hebbar, 3 Zonal CRPs Nanda, Premalatha, Pradeep, Bantwal Taluk Physical Education Teachers’ Association President Rathnavathi, Bantwal Zone Nodal Officer Shivaprasad Rai, District Vice-President Primary School Teachers Association Naveen, Headmasters of all the schools, Head Masters of Infant Jesus School, and Head Master of Deepika High School helped by providing stadium. Deepika High School, Modankapu, Benjanapadu Headmaster and Physical education teachers of all the 3 zones were the managers.
The sports torch was flagged off by a procession from Rakteshwari Temple to Deepika High School Stadium Modankapu and also by freeing pigeons.
Harshit, a student of Best English Medium School, administered the pledge.
The programme was compered by Best English Medium School Associate Teacher Suvana, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Best English Medium School Associate Teacher Sanmeta.
