Mangaluru: Niranjan Rajeev and Shriyana S, students of Lourdes School secured the first and second places in 17 and 9 age categories at the state level chess tournament organised under the auspices of Sri Vidyopayanidhi Mandir, Mysuru.
Suhena Suma Darshan, Shruddha S Rai have also bagged first and third places in the state level open chess tournament organised by Chikkamagalur District Chess Association and Press Club.
Lourdes School is now recognised as “chess school” due to its excellent performance in multiple chess tournaments.
School convener and principal have congratulated the winners.
