Mangaluru: Milagres College organised NSS Annual Camp. At 4 pm on February 6, 2024, the inaugural ceremony started with Rev. Fr Valerian. S Dsouza, Parish Priest of Infant Jesus Church Modankap, and Rev. Fr Micheal L Santhumayor, Principal and Campus Director of Milagres College, Mangalore, presiding over the program. Sunil Vegais, Vice President of PPC Infant Jesus Church Mondankap, Dr Shanon Joshua Mascarenhas, Chief Dental Surgeon at Puttur Dental Care, and NSS officers Shravya. N and Denzil were on the dais. NSS secretary Sushmita was present. The volunteers began the program with a prayer song.
The inaugural ceremony began by planting the sampling. Rev. Fr Valerian in his message motivated the students to take part in all the activities. Dr Shanon encouraged the volunteers to apply the knowledge and experience gained through the camp, throughout their life.
At around 9:30 am, the NSS volunteers, along with NSS coordinators and staff, gathered at the campsite, Infant Jesus Church Mondankap. The coordinators assigned duties to NSS volunteers to teach primary students various educational topics. The NSS camp will continue until February 12, 2024, with different activities assigned to the volunteers each day. Volunteer Jaison Dsouza hosted the program, and Sushmitha served as the compere.
