Mangaluru: Teachers never work for recognition, but when their work is worthy of recognition, it never misses an eye. The Prestige International School that lives to the motto ‘Scaling New Heights’ organized an event on July 26 to appreciate the contribution of its teachers.
Minister of State for Women Child Welfare Jayamala was the chief guest for the occasion. She was accompanied by her daughter Sowndarya.
Two Awards were bestowed on Revathy Thimmaiah and Sujaya Laxmi during the event. Revathy Thimmaiah, received the ‘Long-Term Service Award’ for 10 years of her dedicated service to the institution while Sujaya Laxmi received the ‘Absolute Attendance Award’ for being punctual and regular to school for the past 4 years.
The teaching faculty of Prestige International School appreciated the move by the management of the school – Chairman Hyder Ali K, Managing director Reshma Hyder, Managing trustee Syed Faisal, Principal Firoza Fayaz, Vice Principal Dr Ruksana Hassan – for recognizing the contribution of teachers in the entire process of education. The teachers opined that this was a welcome move towards recognising their selfless service.
