Mangaluru: The men’s football team of St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru, emerged victorious at the VTU Mangaluru Zone Football Tournament held at NMAMIT, Nitte on March 21 and 22. They were thereby selected for the VTU Inter Zonal Football Tournament at Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), Tumkur to be held on March 24 and 25.
On the way to this feat, SJEC won their first round against the Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management, Bhatkal, the quarter finals against Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), Konaje, the semi finals against Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Moodabidri and the finals against Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), Valachil.
The management of St Joseph Engineering College is proud of this achievement and congratulates the team and the Department of Physical Education on their outstanding efforts.
