Mangaluru: Nature Club of University College Mangalore organised the Centre for Environment Education (CEE), Government of Karnataka and UNICEF supported the “Student Orientation Program on Climate Change” at Ravindra Kalabhvana of the college on Saturday.
Presiding over the function, Principal Dr Anasuya Rai wished the students to make good use of the program concerning Environment Education and Climate change. Resource person, Master trainer of Environment Education and Climate Change trained by CEE, Karnataka Dr Siddaraju MN conducted activities to educate students on climate change and its impact on the earth.
Nature Club Coordinator Dr Sanjay Annarav welcomed the gathering. Ms Sinchana compered the Student Program. Around 100 Nature Club students participated in the program.
Students were divided into different groups, and these groups were trained on the basics of climate change, the impact of climate change, carbon footprint and handprint and solutions to climate change. This is a major event in terms of UNICEF and the Paris agreement.
