Mangaluru: The fifteenth episode of Career Guidance with Prof. Ronald Pinto on ‘ Careers in Hotel Management and Hospitality’ was premiered on Friday December 24.
Brian Fernandes, Director of Spearhead Media Group hosted the show by NewsKarnataka, which is powered by Loyala College, Bengaluru.
As an introductory note, Prof. Ronald Pinto detailed on the difference between Hotel Management and Hospitality.
Students who are good in building human relations will not want to sit inside four walls. Their will lies in meeting and greeting people and so, one chooses to opt for the course of hotel management, Professor said.
He also explained about the common entrance test available in order to get admitted into a particular course.
Explaining the job prospects post course he said, it is not true that if one graduates with hotel management degree then he/she should work only in hotels. Airhostess, Cabin crew member, and event management are also certain sectors or posts one can get into.
‘Food and Leisure industry will never go out of fashion’. You will either be always employed or will be creating employment, Brian said and signed off.
