Mangaluru: Rev. Fr Maxim D’Souza the Parish Priest of St Joseph Church, Jeppu and professor at St Joseph Seminary Jeppu celebrated the Holy Mass and preached a homily on the eighth day of the novena. Fr. D’Souza in his homily said that there are millions of hungry people around the world and in our society to there are thousands. People go hungry not because there are no resources but because the people are selfish. People because of selfishness hoard and hence there is inequality of distribution. Fr D’Souza called on the people to be generous towards the hungry and also invited them to pray for them. He specially asked the congregation to pray for the wealthy that they may be kind to the needy.

The Choir group from Nithyadhar-Nagar Thokkottu helped the devotees to participate well in the liturgy with their melodious voice. Fr Larry Pinto the Asst Director conducted the novena.
