Mangaluru: An Open house was held for the first term Examination of classes 1 to 12 in Lourdes Central School on 7 October 2023. The principal and staff invoked God’s blessings to begin the Open House session in the school lobby. The Principal Rev. Fr Robert D’Souza delivered an introductory note and guided the teachers to approach the parents with positive affirmations and to be solution-oriented.
Parents interacted with the teachers to discuss the progress of their wards. Class Teachers and Subject Teachers spent time with the parents of each student and apprised them of the progress of their kids and also the areas where more effort was expected from their wards.
The ambience of the school was set so as to make the parents have a positive feeling. Parents and students were welcomed with attractive captions on the Bulletin boards and Classroom blackboards. The Vice Principals Belita Mascarenhas and Anita Thomas met the parents of students who needed special attention towards their academics and personal development. A productive discussion was held between them and the children were guided to perform better in upcoming examinations.
In the end, the parents had a fruitful day having met the teachers sharing their concerns about their children and having a constructive discussion about their progress.
On the occasion of Silver Jubilee Year, all parents were given a gift as a token of love and gratitude. The open house session concluded at 11.30 a.m.
