Mangaluru: Dharmasthala was not the same as it used to be then, where art was the glory. The artistes gave a variety of art performances to many art lovers gathered by performing a variety of art forms.
However, the aradhana dance troupe managed to mesmerise the audience with its dance form. This was the scene at a cultural programme organised by The Lakshdeepotsava Samiti of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala at the Exhibition Hall on Saturday November 19.
Karnataka Kala Puraskara awardee Vidwan Nagabhushana’s troupe performed a dance drama programme. A total of 16 artistes, led by Vidushi Harshita Sudhesh, presented many scenes from the purana in a unique way through Bharatanatyam. The dance was provided accompaniment by Vidwan Nagabhushana, Nagaraj on Mridangam, Hosal Venkataramana on Violin and Rahul on Flute.
Starting with Sri Ganesha Stuti, Nammamma Sharade in Mohana Raga and Shivashambhula in Raga Revathi presented the dance form. Samudra Manthana of Nagamalika raga and Shivadarshana metaphor of Madhyavati raga entertained the art lovers.
SriKrishna Leela, a solo dance form by Vidushi Harshita Sudhesh, mesmerised art worshippers with her special performances and expressions.
